Image editor#
The MainCross image editor is used where enhanced image handling is required. One does not need to worry about any aspect of image management when using the image editor. All the complexity is taken care of behind the scene, leaving you to focus on what's important.
The image editor has been built with a lot of thought to be convenient and easy to use, while providing a fully hands-off approach to image management. No external editor is required for massaging images before upload.
- It follows the WYSIWYG principle and shows exactly the image that will finally show up.
- The image in the editor can be loaded from file storage, dragged-and-dropped from local storage or any visible image in any browser tab, pasted from clipboard, etc.
- Each image editor is preset to the aspect ratio that the image will be finally presented in, thus taking the guesswork out.
- The comprehensive image editor allow one to crop, zoom, move and rotate the image for optimal display.
- When uploading, the image editor will automatically crop, resize and compress the image before uploading to ensure fast download times.
- The image editors can handle jpeg, png and webp image types. For security reasons, svg is not permitted.
- A maximum image file size of 5MB can be loaded into the editor
Each image editor opens up as a modal pop-up.
As can be seen below, this editor automatically creates an image which is of the aspect ratio 2:1, which is ideal for this image which is used for generating link previews.
A new image can be loaded into the editor window, and various image controls are now available. One can zoom, move and rotate the image for optimal display.
When finished editing the image, hit Done to set the image.
