This is the basic (yet powerful!) post type and one that is used the most often. It can be used to post an opinion or update, or just say hello to the world 🙂
The Update post can be edited as desired after creation anytime.
It has a heading, and a body. Rich text is allowed in the body and upto 8 images can be attached to the post. Conversely, the post can have a link embedded in it, which will automatically generate a rich embed, or a media card depend on the source.
The heading field is mandatory. You may create a post without a heading by putting a * in the heading field. However this practice is strongly discouraged.

Adding images#
- Upto 8 images can be added to a post. Images can added via 4 methods:
- Individually selected from local storage via file system
- Dragged and dropped in from local storage, or from another browser window
- Pasted from clipboard
- Copy/pasted from another browser window and tools like Microsoft Powerpoint / Word, etc
- Each image can be individually captioned.
- The editor will automatically resize and compress the image before uploading to ensure fast download times.
- The first image becomes the featured image for the post which shows on the post card, and link preview when the post is shared on other services and websites.
- The images are shown in a automatic grid pattern on the post.
- Clicking on an image opens in a full screen lightbox with zoom and auto-play.
Tip: use the best image as the 1st image since that will be the featured image.

Multiple links
The first link that you drop in will get converted into the embed or rich preview, while subsequent links will simply linkify. The Update post is not meant for a lot of complexity - use the Article post type instead.
