Distribution and discovery of content follows a multi-tier approach, starting right from the Channel Model we have created.
Unlike networks where the onus is on each individual creator / author / contributor to become a little cog in the attention economy and endlessly self-promote, we've taken a refreshing view of how wholesome human networks should work.
Equal opportunity for all#
Content that you post into channels is immediately distributed to the channel subscribers & is discoverable by all. It does not matter whether you are a new member who has just started, or a older member - both have equal chance & opportunity to reach the audience, and the system does not use opaque algorithms to give a leg up to one at the cost of another.
Your content can be discovered via your member profile on any network. The Member profile allow one to view a member's content across the network, and by post type.
No opaque algorithms#
Discovery is further enabled by the feed filters in channels - popular, recent, curated, which are different ways in which your content can easily surface. If your content is being upvoted, it will automatically show up in the popular feed.
Discovery of your content is further helped by moderators who add your posts to featured or curated.
Finally, the Network Feed on any Network Site is the primary mechanism for content discovery.

Social feeds
Multiple social feeds are available on each network which present content in various ways - Super Feed, Network Feed, Channel Feed, User Feed, each of which can then be filtered in different ways.
Featured posts panel
Any member post can be "featured" by Heroes at a Network or Channel level. This shows the post prominently at the top of the feed and is a great way to increase visibility for the post and the member.
Member profile
Each member's profile allows anyone to view all the member's content across the Super Network, and further filter by post type.
Digest mails
Where enabled, digest mails are send periodically - a regular roundup message that summarizes significant member posts from the network - keeps members updated and spurs reengagement.
Full content search
As Network Sites gets busier with more content, channels and members, search is an excellent way to quickly and effectively find what one is looking for.
Activity Stream
Each network's Activity Stream is a running activity list of the latest public content posted, comment posted, content micro interactions and new signups.

Sharing to other services
Any content or channel from any Network Site can be instantly shared to any other social media service, eg Facebook, Twitter, Reddit; messengers, eg Whatsapp, Telegram, Signal.
If one is logged in, all share URLs are encoded with a referral code which helps track if someone signs up via the member's referral code.
Embeds into 3rd party websites
Any post from any MainCross Network site can be embedded into any website instantly. All embeds are fully responsive and will automagically grow or shrink depending on the size of the container, or the screen.
Channel discovery#
- We’ve invented channel and network level gamification which automatically shows the most popular channels on each network
- All channels are geo tagged – we are able to automagically show channels based on where the person is. Preference could be given to local, if one wants to support local businesses, artisans, mom and pop outfits and so on.
