(Issue #MS-IS-1408-877) HivedMusic Home Page (static Feature page) mixup

Hi Folks,

Nancy duplicated the static feature page that we use as our current home page, and then made changes to the image at the top of the page.

I then went to change the slugs and update network essentials core home page to the new home page.

The correct image shows up when the home page is displayed when going to HivedMusic.com. However, when going to the Hero Dashboard > Network > Static Pages, and then trying to view / edit the page that is currently being used as the home page, the static feature page for the old and new, while showing up as distinct pages, when viewing and editing, appear to point to the same old page, not the new one.

I recall running into this in the past, where there were some caching and link issues resulting from changing the home page. I thought that these had been addressed. Perhaps I did something in incorrectly, such as wrong sequence of steps.

The confusion is between Static pages 1 and 2. Static Page Number 2 with slug hivedmusic-home is the one currently being used as the home page and Static Page Number 1 with slug hivedmusic-copy-home is the old home page.

How do I sort this out on my end? Or... is this something to be sorted on your end? Or... is this something that we need to coordinate?

Adding:

My changes were made from one browser window / tab to prevent confusion. I also pushed the Network CDN and Channel CDN (other channel updates need to be pushed).

Thank you,

Barry

p.s. (I think this support channel concept is a winner. I am excited to deploy it on HivedMusic)

Thank you for reporting this issue and the detailed steps. We have reproduced the issue on our side, its a tricky caching issue due to the circular slug renaming (hivedmusic-home -> hivedmusic-copy-home and hivedmusic-home-zyx123 to hivedmusic-home) and the CDN being asked to delete a resource and then cache at the same slug (hivedmusic-home) very close together. So it doesnt delete and ends up serving the earlier content.

While we go about fixing the issue, for the moment we have manually recached the resource served at hivedmusic-home (which is the duplicated page as edited by Nancy)

Thank you for fixing the current issue. I verified that Hero Dashboard > Network > Static pages lists the pages correctly, and that the correct page contents are now displayed.
