What are some hurdles that community managers face today?

Now that we have established that building a community is an absolute necessity for any brand today, let’s look at some of the challenges that community managers face during its development. With the introduction of MainCross, acclimatising to these challenges gets easier.

Building and managing a community for any brand today is not an easy or menial task as one might assume. The role of a manager demands a lot of progress in a very short span of time which might seem too demanding for a lot. Since the brand value of a company is majorly dependent on building its community, it is very clear why this role is so elementary and important to the brand.

With all this said, this is just the beginning of a challenging tenure of a community manager. A community manager has to find innovative ways to make sure that the brand stands out while building its community. They must keep up with the latest trends and creative marketing strategies that various leading businesses use to attract consumers. Along with it, they have to find a way to set a unique image for their brand to stay relevant in the market.

One of the major challenges that sports clubs initially face is in bringing people together to create a community. Building a community from the start is extremely tedious for a newly-born club. This is where a platform like MainCross could help community managers in localised networking and in building some hype through its in-built ability to deliver geo-tagged and multi-lingual content for major events across phases of a season.

Pulling in a big enough crowd during times of non-engagement such as the pre-season period might seem difficult. Though there are plans put up on social media platforms, the rented audience from applications from Instagram does not manage to build a local network. There is no real connection between the club and the community created using this rented audience.

Another major challenge established local club communities face is retaining their fan base as well as bringing in new fans. This is a real test for a community manager as it requires all the tricks that these managers have up their sleeves. This can get tougher if the club had a relatively bad season.

Therefore by using the features in MainCross, community managers can build better relationships with the community by taking in fan opinions as well as create better campaigns to attract new members. MainCross could be the ideal spot of stress relief for community managers as it provides solutions to all of these commonly faced hurdles.
