Updates
- A superb under-the-hood bot prevention mechanism based on Cloudflare Turnstile has been released in early access on a few networks for testing before its rolled out across all. Its meant as a replacement for the much hated Google reCAPTCHA, with the following advantages:
- Stop abuse abuse and confirm visitors are real
- Without the data privacy concerns or awful UX that CAPTCHAs thrust on users.
- Display names and usernames can no longer be changed for verified accounts
- Members who have signed up with Telegram can now use the reset password flow to generate a password. And then use their username + newly created password to login as an alternative to Telegram
- #HeroDashboard enhancement - Channels can be sorted in Channels dashboard > Manage channels
UI changes
- Wide screen view for Edit profile and Settings pages
- Show sticky toolbar for user bio editor in Edit profile
- Nudge in Article post type to preempt the use of this format for low quality posting
- Nudge in Update Post type to prevent needless capitalization of title
- Hero Dashboard
- Better organization of Organization and Persona channel settings into tabs - essentials / optionals
- Changed icon for Channel Global settings to visually distinguish from channel settings
Issues fixed
- Some polls embedded within Pages would not display correctly
- Some events could no longer be edited
- Some users would intermittently face an issue when editing their profile
- Some user bios could not longer be saved after editing - the system would (incorrectly) report a network error
