Updates
- Notifications can be controlled per Network Site instead of globally.
- As before, notifications are ON by default and can be opted-out, now individually on each Network Site for greater control.
- Even if one is signed-in with Telegram, one can opt out of Telegram notifications. This was not allowed earlier.
- Telegram notifications are now harmonized with Email - only important notifications are sent via this method. Content upvote is no longer notified on Telegram.
- Examples:
- Keep email notification ON for Network A, and email notification OFF with Telegram notification ON for Network B.
- Keep email notification OFF and get all notifications via Android app push notifications for Network A, while keeping email notification ON for Network B.
- Read more in the help article.
- Enhanced member control:
- Member control screens are now grouped under the /member destination
- A new screen "Info" shows all the information related to the member
- A new screen "Referrals" shows which members have been referred by this member
- Member profile related settings have been moved from "Settings" screen to "Profile" screen.
- A new destination /events has been added, which automatically shows a reverse chronological list of all #Events posts on the Network. See an example.
- The default page can be overridden via a custom Featured page under Network Dashboard > Essentials config > Destinations.
- The Events destination is also available in the Menus Config and can be added to the Navigation Column, Bar and other menus as desired.
- #PageBuilder enhancements:
- A new block - Marketplace - has been added. See an example.
- Article Post types can now be embedded using the Embed Block.
- Letter Post type has been enhanced with new type Suggestion, in addition to earlier Grievance and Appreciation.
- Share cards now allow sharing via a Qr code - one can scan the displayed Qr code to get the link to the network, or post or product.
- For MainCross instances that are configured as traditional websites (as opposed to next generation Network Sites), the top Navigation Bar can now have a multi-level drop down menu. See an example.
- Site footers can now handle internal or external links.
- By default, the Bottom Navigation Bar that displays on mobile screens hides itself upon scroll. This is a standard mechanism to save precious real estate on small screens. This behavior can be turned OFF under Network Dashboard > Visual config > Misc
Issues fixed
- Embedding MainCross posts on other sites was broken after the change to URLs in v3.37.0.
- When a content URL from the same Network is inserted as a media card in a Post, it should open in the same tab, rather than a new one.
