Major updates
- Page Builder v1 - The Page Builder has undergone its first major upgrade - most blocks can now be styled - ie aspects like padding, background, border can be independently controlled at a block level. #PageBuilder
- Topic #channels allow multiple posts to be featured - instead of a simple "pin post" feature found on most social media sites, the featured posts section shows a swipeable carousel of rich media cards. #FeaturedPosts
- Post type restrictions are now based on Pro account type rather than Channel Hero. In others words, any Pro account (and those derived from pro, ie channel heroes) are NOT subject to post type restrictions
Minor updates
- The text that is displayed on menu items can now be edited
- A controllable list of org channels can be added to Featured pages
- Blurb and Testimonial blocks in the Page Builder have been further enhanced allowing more control of the design
- Quiz post type can now be enabled from the Hero Dashboard
- Network Heroes can now move posts between channels
- Better SEO meta data for Persona and Org channels
UI changes
- The auto color generation algorithm has been updated to handle dark colored backgrounds
- Informative prompt to user to reload site when the site (version) has been upgraded
- Pro accounts now show a "pro" badge on the user profile page
- Code formatted block in Long Form Editor correctly shows line breaks
- Merged the text "about this channel" with the Topic card, like for Org and Persona
- When a channel is not found, it is gracefully handled with a meaningful message
Issues fixed
- A certain backend error was not being handled when editing channels from the Hero Dashboard
- The page crashes under a specific condition - edit a featured page from the Hero dashboard and immediately open a home page which uses a featured page
- The page crashes if a new channel has been created and is edited before pushing to CDN
- When a caption is added to an image in the Long Form Editor, it does not show up in the image alt tag unless the article is subsequently edited
